Obituary for Perkins

Robert McClure Perkins, Rio Rancho, NM, died April 17, 2002, of complications from a truck-automobile accident occurring on November 20, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; and sons, Peter and Steve; and stepdaughter, Dawn, who live with their families in Colorado. Also surviving are stepdaughter, Joy and family, Rio Rancho and Albuquerque. He is predeceased by his parents; and a half-brother. Perkins was born October 6, 1924, Idaho Falls, ID, but grew up in Olean, NY. He served in the European Theater in WWII and attended the University of Denver after the war, spending most of his adult years in Denver. He was an architect, read prolifically, and enjoyed music and being a jokester. Perkins actively served his church, Rio Rancho Presbyterian, in many capacities. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 22, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the church, 1004-24th Street, Rio Rancho, NM 87124. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the music fund at the church.
