Alice Gertrude Lawrence. A loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother has moved on to a healthier life to be with God. After a long battle with cancer, Alice has finally joined her late husband, Luther Dewey Lawrence, on April 18, 2002. She is survived by four sisters; her five children, Ron Lawrence and wife, David Lawrence and wife, Claudia Duran, Jeanie Tapia, and Steven Lawrence. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was a simple, loving and gentle woman that will be greatly missed by many friends and loved ones. Cremation has taken place at French Mortuary and a Memorial will be held Sunday April 21, 2002 for family members and close friends at a family residence. Burial will take place Tuesday April 23, 2002 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery where she will peacefully be laid to rest with her best friend and husband.
