Richard Martin Cotinola, born on November 28, 1938 lost his battle with cancer on April 20, 2002. He is survived by his son, Richard Dennis (Rick) Cotinola and wife, Lorraine; daughter, Eileen (Cotinola) Mullen and husband, Jeff; grandson, Ricky Cotinola III; sisters, Cathy Cotinola and Mrs. Pauline Silva; many nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Lorenzo and Julia Cotinola; sisters, Rose Blatchford, Della Stevens and Mary Lou Marez; and one brother, Gilbert (Tiny) Cotinola. Mr. Cotinola will be deeply missed by his loving family. Visitations will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary with a Rosary to be recited following at 7:00 p.m. A final viewing will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated also on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at San Felipe De Neri Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Pete Marez Jr., Isidoro (Junior) Torres, Fred Sedillo, Eugene Benavidez, A.C. Rodriguez and Carmen Torres. Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Silva III, John Lawrence Cotinola, Danny Lujan, Dale Cotinola, Joey Silva and Dustin Cano. A reception will follow after the services at the Moose Lodge #1517, 2121 Edith Blvd. N.E. Services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. S.W. 243-5222.
