Obituary for Mcnama

Mary Frances Nicholson McNama, daughter of Claude and Edna Nicholson, died Friday, April 19, 2002. She was born on February 6, 1922 and is survived by two sisters, Carrie Dowd and Florence Brooks; two children; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; son, Mike McNama and wife, Judy, their children, Heather, Shea, and Kim; daughter, Donna McBroom and her sons, Bart McBroom and wife, Leslie, their children, Janis, David, Kari and Wayne McBroom and wife, Martina. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Donald McNama in 1974; brothers, Claude Jr., Howard, and William; sisters, Edna Earl, Martha and Cansada. Mary devoted her life to her family. She worked for a time at TRW in California, then as a house sitter and babysitter in Albuquerque. She was very involved in the lives of Mitch and Matt Hunter and Dylan Dominguez. Mary graduated from Albuquerque High in 1940. The Memorial Service will be held at St John's Cathedral (4th and Silver) on Friday, April 26, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. The Very Rev. John B. Haverland, Dean Emeritus officiating. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Special Olympics in her name. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th NW Albuquerque, 343-8008.
