Obituary for Fehr

John George Fehr, 74, went to rest with the Lord and the one's he loved who passed on before him on Saturday, April 20th, 2002 following a long illness. He was born February 4th, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA to Alice and John Fehr. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Margaret; his one daughter, Mary E. Pryce of Los Altos, CA; his four sons, John G. Fehr III of Albuquerque, NM, William C. Fehr of Rio Rancho, NM, John Thomas Fehr of Auburn, PA, Gerald R. Fehr of Bellmawr, NJ; two sisters, Alice McConnell and Dorothy Fehr; three brothers, Earl Fehr, Billy Hird and Bobby Hird; and seven grandchildren, William Fehr, Jennifer Fehr, Jessica Fehr, John T. Fehr Jr., Branden Fehr, Michael Dunn, and Jessica Lunde. John was a Catholic. He was a proud Marine and a disabled veteran of WW II. He was a loving father and husband whose greatest joy was helping others and giving of himself unselfishly. A visitation will be held Friday, April 26th, 2002 from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. A Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 27th, 2002 at 9am at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, 5415 Fortuna Rd NW. A Funeral will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, date to be announced.
