Obituary for Stubblefield

Robert"Herk" Stubblefield, 59, a resident of Edgewood, died Monday, April 29, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Stubblefield of Edgewood; sons, Robert Michael Stubblefield of Albuquerque, Andrew Mark Stubblefield of Homer, AL and Rodney Stubblefield and wife, Kerianne of Edgewood; grandchildren, Brandyn Stubblefield and Shealynn Stubblefield, both of Edgewood; mother, Lee Stubblefield; sisters, Marsha McGill and husband, Robin and Pat Buza, all of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Stubby Stubblefield, who was a pioneer aviator of the Southwest; an infant son; and also his beloved chocolate lab, Ozzy. Mr. Stubblefield was involved in aviation all of his life working first for Cutter Aviation and then Ross Aviation for 27 years. He was a Die-Hard N.A.S.C.A.R. Dale Earnhardtfan. Mr. Stubblefield had a great love of the outdoors. He will be greatly missed by all of us. Services will be held Friday, May 3, 2002, at 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Pastor Bob Brown officiating.
