Obituary for Woodward

Hugh B. Woodward, M.D., 77, passed away on April 26, 2002 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Dr. Woodward, a graduate of Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, practiced internal medicine in Albuquerque for sixteen years before joining Mountain Bell as Medical Director for New Mexico. He was president of the New Mexico Medical Society, president of the New Mexico Society of Internal Medicine and Chief of Staff at St. Joseph's Hospital, Albuquerque. He moved to Phoenix in 1982 as Arizona Medical Director for USWest. Survivors include his wife, Aileen; children, Maureen Hollander and husband, Mark, JW Diuguid, Martin Woodward and Susanne Riveras and husband, Michael; six grandchildren; brothers, Americus and Donald Woodward; sisters, Marian Shapiro, Judy Woodward and Josephine Zagieboylo. A memorial celebration of his life was held at Westminister Village in Scottsdale, Arizona on May 4, 2002. Donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
