Obituary for Goatcher

Loyd F. Goatcher Sr., 89, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, died Friday, May 3, 2002. He is survived by his son, Loyd F. Goatcher, Jr.; grandchildren, Jay Goatcher and wife, Loretta, Larry Goatcher and wife, Karen, and Kelly Carmody and husband, Jeff all of Albuquerque; great-granddaughters, Jessica, Jacqueline, Kaley, and Kristye; great- grandson, Kalvin; sister, Edith Cudd of Longview, WA; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Mr. Goatcher was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel whom he met and married in Poteau, OK in 1931. Loyd was born in Hackett, AR on June 20, 1912 and moved to OK as a young boy with his family. He was a sawmill master mechanic for International Paper, retiring in 1974. They moved to Albuquerque from McAlester, OK in 1989. Services will be held, Friday, May 10, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., at the Mills Funeral Home in McAlester, OK. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, in Hartshorne, OK. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Tuesday, May 7, 2002 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice, P.O.
