Bill Patrick Duran, age 43, a resident of Albuquerque for the past 12 years died May 7, 2002. Bill was born March 17, 1959 in Trinidad, CO, to Andrew and Lydia (Gonzales) Duran. Survivors include his wife, I. Marie Duran of Albuquerque, NM; God-daughter, Christina"Teeny" Caranta; step-daughters, Carissa and Cassandra Caranta; step-son, Christopher Caranta; son, Andres Shirm; parents, Andrew Duran and Kathy of Pueblo, CO, Lydia Duran and Zoe King of Albuquerque, NM; grandmother, Mackie Duran of Trinidad, CO; brothers, Richard Duran of MN, Cameron Schunemann of Albuquerque, NM, Bill Shunemann of CA; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins from Albuquerque, NM and Trinidad, CO. Bill loved to ride his bike, fish, camp and spend time with his friends and family. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2002 in Fern Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 10, 2002 also in Fern Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary. Interment will be in the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Strong-Thorne Mortuary is handling his arrangements.
