Obituary for Jordan

Ronald Vernon Jordan, 78, of Albuquerque, died on Monday, May 13, 2002, after a two year battle with cancer and leukemia. He is survived by his wife, Betty Keene Jordan, and by their four children: Valorie Lynn Perrin, Kristine Kay Raubinger (and husband, Michael Raubinger), Steven Ray Jordan and Kimberly Ann Greenhouse. His grandchildren are Aaron Cole, Danielle Cole-Nix, Nicole Greenhouse, Vanessa Greenhouse and Wesley Perrin. Born in Gowan, Michigan on February 11, 1924, Ron later was proud to serve his country as a bomber pilot with the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He went on to serve 10 years of active military duty and 10 years as an Air Force reservist. Ron married his high-school sweetheart and the only love of his life, Betty L. Keene, in 1945, and they shared their 56th wedding anniversary last July. Ron earned a living for his family as a salesman, a profession well suited to his outgoing personality. He was a longtime member of Hoffmantown Baptist Church where he and his wife developed many close friendships. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 17, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Pastor Ken Moore officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
