Robert L. Hawkins,(USAF Ret.) 68, a resident of Albuquerque for 23 years, died Saturday, June 1, 2002. Mr. Hawkins is survived by his wife of 39 years, Elvie Hawkins of Albuquerque; son, Bob Wilkinson of Albuquerque; daughter, Barbara Ellis of Oklahoma City, OK; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Hawkins was preceded in death by his daughters, Crysta Lee Hawkins and Cinda Kim Hawkins. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas and proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and until his retirement in 1966. After his retirement he was an investigator for six years before becoming a homebuilder and real estate investor. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. Cremation has taken place and memorial services are pending.
