Obituary for Loesch

John Lessenger"Jack" Loesch, age 85, a longtime resident of Albuquerque died on the 23rd of June 2002 at St. Joseph Hospital's Sandia Hospice Pavilion after a short illness. He was born October 2, 1916 in Fairfield, IA. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He moved with his family to Albuquerque in 1956. His great love was hiking in the mountains with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia. He is survived by a sister, Suzanne Kline and husband, Willard of Waterloo, IA; and three daughters, Kathie Jarrett and husband, Al of Albuquerque, Pam Hinchcliffe and husband, David of Albuquerque and Sara Frank and husband, Curt of Cupertino, CA. He was much loved by his six grandchildren, David, Benjamin, Jason, Amy, Jeremy and Bethany; and three great-grandchildren, Francesca, Anastasia and James. They loved his sense of humor and his funny stories. Cremation and arrangements are being made by Direct Funeral Services. It was his wish that no services be held. His family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Sandia Hospice.
