Obituary for Brasuel

Murphy Brasuel, 59, was called home to the Lord on Thursday, June 27, 2002. Murphy was born on October 8, 1942, in Santa Fe, NM, and was a lifelong resident of Cuba, NM, where Murphy was previously a member of the City Council, School Board and Mayor. He was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was on the parish council. Murphy is preceded in death by his father, Leonard Brasuel. He is survived by; his loving wife of 31 years, Margaret Brasuel; children, Murphy Brasuel and wife, Cristina, and Ana Lucero and husband, Chris; mother, Margery Brasuel; grandsons, Leonard Alexander Brasuel, Murphy Luis Maximums Brasuel, Christopher Murphy Lucero, and Michael Richard Lucero. Also surviving; are a brother, Leonard Brasuel; sister, Mary Ethel Foley; and sister/mother-in-law, Irene Martinez. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. A rosary will be recited Monday July 1, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cuba, NM. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 2, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cuba, NM. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery. Funeral services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St. NW, Albuquerque, 898-3160.
