Kendra Louise Gallegos, 49, of Burwell, NE died on June 30, 2002 at the Valley County Nursing Home at Ord, NE. Kendra was cremated. Memorial Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Burwell, NE. Rev. Fr. Bernard Berger will officiate. Memorials are suggested to the church. Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell, NE is in charge of arrangements. Kendra was born October 2, 1952 in Albuquerque, NM to Kenneth and Elaine (Beaudoin) Beers. Kendra married Richard Gallegos on October 17, 1981 in Albuquerque. They lived there for six months before moving to Burwell, NE in April of 1982. Kendra worked in health care as a Certified Nurses Assistant. Kendra enjoyed quilting and loved to be around all her friends. Kendra is survived by her husband, Richard Gallegos of Burwell, NE; her mother, Elaine Beers of Burwell, NE; one step-son and his wife, Mario and Andriana Gallegos of Albuquerque; one step-grandson, Frank Gallegos; one brother and his wife, Kevin and Sandy Beers of Littleton, CO; one sister and her husband, Gayle and Pete Ewell of Pomaroy, WA; two nephews, Sean and Kenny Beers and two nieces, Deana Speck and Colleen Berkompas; one brother-in-law, Tom and Janet Gallegos of Farmington, NM; two sisters-in-law, Pat Gallegos and Mary and Clyde Segura all of Albuquerque; and a dear friend, Ed Gurule of Albuquerque. Kendra was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Beers.
