Faith Joy Upshaw, was born March 27, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois. Faith passed away July 8, 2002. Loving wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with Lord Monday, after battling a life long illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Eleanor Heidel of Downers Grove, Illinois. Faith is survived by her husband of 25 years, Gene Upshaw; sister, Dolores Hetzler of Emlinton, Pa.; son, Sean Collins and wife, Cindy; daughter, Hope Jennifer and husband, Kelly Glover; granddaughters, Kelsie Mae and Kaylee Faith Glover of Los Chavez, NM; step-granddaughter, Jessica Urioste; three great-grandchildren, Mark, Sonrisa, and Sean Ray of Las Vegas, NM; numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing and services will be held at Gospel Light Baptist Church, on Saturday, July 11, 2002, where Faith delighted in spending many hours volunteering her services of cooking, or whatever was the Lord's will. The church is located at 1500 Southern Blvd., Rio Rancho. Viewing and visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Sean Collins, Kelly Glover, Daryl Upshaw, Jeremy Lenentine, Todd Hathorne and Rick Pope. Faith was a blessing and encouragement to us all, and she will be missed very much.
