Obituary for Kretzer

Ralph A. Kretzer, 79, resident of Belen, peacefully passed away in an Albuquerque hospital on Sunday, July 7, 2002. He was a very active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belen as a deacon and an elder. At the time of his death he was acting as treasure for his church. He was also a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge. Ralph was owner and operator of Avion R.V. Dealership in Pennsylvania for many years. Prior to starting his own dealership, he worked for the U.S. Government as a Mechanical Design Engineer. Because of his extensive mechanical design engineer background, Ralph worked for several engineering companies. He finally retired from EG&G Management Systems Inc. in 2000. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during W.W.II. Preceding him in death are his parents, Clyde and Alice Kretzer; one brother, Norman; and his sister-in-law, Hazel Kretzer. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Helen of Belen; two daughters, Joyce Paulsen and her husband, Tom of Elk Grove, California and Coleen Nickeson of Clarkston, Washington; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren; and his two sisters, Cathrine Eigenbrode and Rose Wells, both of Wayensboro, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by his three loving nieces. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9, from 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, July 10, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Belen. Pallbearers will be Keith and Kirk Paulsen, Scott Schumacher, Jory Cafferty, Jim Brooks, and Holly Wilson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dick Feldbush and Les Martin. Gude Funeral Home of Nebraska City, Nebraska will conduct a graveside service at Wyuka Cemetery on Saturday, July 13, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Romero Funeral Home, 690 Main St., Belen, NM.
