Eric J. Evanko, 36, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, July 6, 2002. He is survived by his family including his parents, William and Margaret Evanko; siblings, Tony Evanko, LeeAnne Smith, Mark Evanko, Teresa Evanko-Bilello, Greg Evanko, Steve Evanko; and nieces, Alie Smith, Lauren Smith, Zoe Bilello and Anna Bilello. Eric was the youngest of eight children. He attended Our Lady of Annunciation School and graduated from Sandia High School in 1983. Eric was a talented musician and builder, beloved son, brother and friend to many. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:00 a.m., at Mt. Calvary Chapel, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE, with Father Matt Strabala, Celebrant. Cremation will follow services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the name of Eric Evanko to the American Diabetes Association of NM, 525 San Pedro NE #101, 87108.
