Clarence"Ed" White, 82, a resident of Albuquerque for 50 years, died on Saturday, July 13, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Betty J. White of the family home; daughter, Ilene Jayne; son, Jim White and wife, Rita, all of Albuquerque; three granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters. Born in Burke, SD, Mr. White grew up in Junction City, KS and moved to Albuquerque originally in 1940. He worked 15 years with the U.S. Postal Service. Clarence was a member of the Optimist Club of Albuquerque since 1984, a former Scout Master with the Boys Scouts of America, and coached for American Legion baseball. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force with 30 years of service and was a Chief Master Sergeant. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2002, at 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Mike Jayne, officiating.
