Obituary for Valencia

Mr. Reynell Valencia, 89, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, born in San Luis, NM on February 10, 1913, peacefully went to be with the Lord Jesus on Saturday, July 20, 2002. He was the beloved husband of the late Devinia G. Valencia. Mr. Valencia is survived by nine children, sons; Acasio Valencia, Patricio Valencia and wife Mary, Jimmy Valencia and wife Josie, David Valencia and wife Gloria, Raymond Valencia and Benny Valencia; daughters, Reyna Valencia-Neverz and husband Salvador, Sandra Valencia-Gutierrez and husband Gilbert, and Mary Medina and husband Nicholas; grandchildren, Willliam"Billy" and wife Maggie, Manuel and wife Daisy, Cynthia and husband Humberto, Shawn, Jason, Crystal, Julie, James, Mark, Nicholas Jr., Jessica, Lorenzo, Devinia, David Jr., Lento, Phillip and Edward; great-grandchildren, Kirsten, Kay Lyn, Clorissa, Andrew, Adrian, Aaron, Jonathan, Nathaniel, Ashley, Anthony, Briana, Debbie and one more yet to be born any day. Mr. Valencia was a man who took pride in hard work, showing his family by example how we should live our lives. He left a legacy of strength, honesty, pride, self worth and a love for his family and God. He will never be forgotten. A visitation will be Monday evening after 6:00pm in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00pm by Pastor James Baca. A visitation will be Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Rio Grande Baptist Church, 2121 Gunclub SW, with a Funeral Service to be held at 1:30pm by Pastor Woods, Pastor Baca and Pastor Capetillo. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Childers, Lorenzo Gutierrez, Salomon Gonzales, Lualdo Valencia, Joe Luna and Len Valencia. Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Valencia's grandchildren and great-grandchildren."Llorar con Cristo es gozo, morir con Cristo es vida."
