Jose S. Gallegos died Sunday July 21, 2002 in Albuquerque at the age of 72. He is survived by his son, Raymond Romero; daughter-in-law, Rosalie Garcia. Three brothers, Vince, Jake and Andres Gallegos; two sisters, Mary Chavez, Esmeralda Perkowski; one sister-in-law, Louisa R. Jones; and one grandchild, Julie Romero. Funeral Service for Mr. Gallegos will be held on Friday at San Felipe Church where Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Gurule Jr. Benny Chavez Eloy Whitting, Toby Barela, James Archuleta, Jake Gallegos, Honorary Palllbearers will be Daniel Flores, Rudy Garcia, and Simon Chavez. A Rosary will be held on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. There will also be Visitations from 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary 400 Third St. S.W.
