Obituary for Poynor

Edward Quitman Poyner, 79, a native of Clarksville, AR died Friday, July 26, 2002 at Kaseman Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque. The body was cremated. Mr. Poynor was a retired pharmacist. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Clarksville Country Club. He was a US Army Veteran, serving during both WWII and the Korean Conflict. He attended the College of the Ozarks and graduated from the Southwestern College of Pharmacy in Weatherford, OK. He is survived by a daughter, Nancy Ann Bassett and her husband, Herbert H. Bassett of Albuquerque; a sister, Louise Spanke of Wheaton, IL; and four nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann; and a sister, Susie Maude Pittman. A Graveside Service and Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2002 at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville with the Reverend Lance Jones officiating.
