Mrs. Helen Aranda, 89, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on August 8, 2002. Mrs. Aranda is survived by her loving children; Patty Garcia and husband, Alfonso, Sarah Vandeveer, Pete Aranda and wife, Dolores, Robert Aranda and wife, Anna, Ross Aranda and wife, Lorraine, Richard Aranda and wife, Cecilia, Joe Aranda and wife, Theresa, Manuel Aranda and wife, Angie, Helen Madrid and husband, Augustine, Azelle Garcia and husband, Salvador and Martin Aranda; 37 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren and 3 step-great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren; one brother, Tony Alarid and wife, Agnes; sisters in law, Margaret Leonardini, Livermore, Ca. and Sylvia Lucero of Pleasanton, Ca.; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Aranda is preceded in death by her husband Tony Aranda and a great grandson, Julian Aranda. Mrs. Aranda was a member of the Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 17, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation after 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW with Father Joel Garner Celebrant. Interment of the cremains will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be, Raymond Garcia, Jeremy Garcia, Joel Garcia, Daniel Aranda, Robert John Aranda, Mike Aranda, David Aranda, Eddie Aranda, Adam Aranda, Nick Aranda, Eric Aranda, Matt Aranda, Martin Aranda Jr., Jon-Mikal Aranda and Manuel Aranda Jr. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd.
