G.A."Duke" Arnold, 56 and a resident of Elephant Butte, New Mexico since 1998, died at Sierra Vista Hospital in Truth or Consequences, NM on Friday August 9, 2002. Mr. Arnold was born on August 8, 1946 in Raton, New Mexico, the son of Garland Leon and Etta (Gibson) Arnold. He was an avid golfer and was the U.S. Customs Resident Agent in charge in the Albuquerque office when he retired after 28 years of service. Prior to working in Albuquerque, he was with the El Paso Police Department. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Carol Arnold of the family home; his sons Ryan and wife, Radka Arnold of Laredo, TX, Jason & wife, Jennifer Arnold of Germany, Gabriel Arnold of Rio Rancoh, NM; his daughters Pamela Kohrhamer of Albuquerque, NM, Terry & husband, Marc Hijar of Albuquerque, NM, Kerry Buehler of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren Kristian and Ashley Sims, Kaitly and Jenna Hijar, David & Matthew Buehler; his sisters Pearl and husband Chris Cunico of Raton, NM, Marian Turner of Texas, Loveta and husband Don Schuchhardt of Dupree, S.D.; by a brother, Willard and wife Sandy Arnold and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church at the Butte, 408 Hwy. 195, Elephant Butte, with Rev. Robert Rachuig officiating. Serving as casket bearers are Marc Hijar, Joe Buehler, Jason Arnold, Ryan Arnold, John Lisica and Craig Thornton, Cremation will follow his service.
