Obituary for Silva

Morris M. Silva Jr., 75, went home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2002. He was born on August 6, 1927 in Alamogordo, NM. He served in the U.S. Army and belonged to the American Legion. Morris is survived by his wife, Cora Silva; sister, Dorothy Sanchez, daughters; Charlotte Archuleta, Marie Bowman and husband, Jay and Margaret Silva, Joey Aragon; grandchildren, Michelle King and husband, Chuck, Christine Gilerup, Morris Archuleta and wife, Sandra, Denise Martinez and husband, Joseph, Mary Robles, Gloria Hernandez and Jay Bowman Jr.; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Morris will be deeply missed by his loving family. Visitations will be held on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00p.m. in the Eighth Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Final viewing will be on Wednesday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ernest Avalos, Morris Archuleta, Jay Bowman Jr., Mary Robles, CJ King and Michael Tapia. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jay Bowman Sr. and Joey Aragon. Services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. S.W. 243-5222.
