Obituary for Russell

Opal F. Russell, born in Davis, OK October 25, 1916, passed away Friday, August 9, 2002. She is survived by her nephews, Jack Smith and Ben Smith; niece, Linda Hunter; sisters-in-law, Helen Smith and Trelma Vaughan and stepson, Alvin Russell Jr., and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Russell. Mrs. Russell grew up in a loving, close-knit family with twin brother Otis and younger brother, Clarence. She moved to Albuquerque in 1941. Mrs. Russell lived in Red River NM for about ten years. She was a member of The Eastern Star and Beauceant. Mrs. Russell loved to fish and play bridge. She and her late husband, Alvin were active members of Monterey Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at Wednesday, August 14, 2002, 11:00 a.m., at Monterey Baptist Church, 12501 Lomas Blvd NE, with Pastor Fred McDonald officiating.
