Dixie A. Fesler, 93, born in Baird Texas, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Carlson of Bernalillo, NM; grandsons, Randell Carlson and wife of Rio Rancho, James Carlson and wife from Bethlehem, PA, Jason Carlson of Bernalillo, NM.; and two nieces, Barbara Nieman and Nola Aquilar both of San Antonio, Texas. Dixie was a 50 plus year charter member of the Sunshine Chapter of the Eastern Star, as well as Charter Member of the Sandia Base Coronado Women's Club. She led a full, active and loving life, always supporting her children to be the best they can be. Always a friend to everyone she met. Many thanks to Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice and her nurse MJ for making her last days pleasant. May she go with God and be greeted by her predeceased husband, James A. Fesler. She will be missed. Graveside Services are set for Thursday morning, August 15, 2002 at 9:30 a.m. Sandia Memorial Gardens, 9500 San Pedro NE. In lieu of flowers, she asked that donations be made to the University of New Mexico for a Business Administration Scholarship under her name.
