Obituary for Crackel

William Crackel, 79, a lifelong resident of New Mexico died Saturday, August 10, 2002. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Fern Crackel; daughter, Lana Finley of Albuquerque; grandson, Derrick Finley of Mooresville, NC; sister-in-law, Mussette Trent of Tucson, AZ; brother-in-law, Bob Carrico and wife, Lois; nephew, Monty Carrico and wife, Lucy all of Albuquerque; nieces, Cheryl Thompson and husband, Sandy Tolman and husband, and Darlene Harwell and husband. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He lived a long, full life, he laughed often and much- He will be remembered by all who knew him with great love and respect. He was retired as top salesman from Keebler Company. William served in the United States Army in the South Pacific during World War II. He received the Purple Heart and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a long time member of Hoffmantown Church where he served as an usher, attended bible study classes and worked in many other church activities. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2002, 11:30 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd.
