Obituary for Carlson

Dale H. Carlson, 68, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947, died Friday, August 9, 2002. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Kristine Donarski and husband, Joe of Princeton, IL; stepson, Korby Schaill and wife, Cami of Peoria, IL; cousins, Dolores Thompson and husband, Gene of Leavenworth, KS, Shirley Morehead of Osowatamee, KS; and Jimmy Gwartney of Tallahassee, FL. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold J. Carlson, mother, Florence L. Carlson, and brother, Paul H. Carlson. Dale graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1951. He attended UNM and received his Masters in 1965 from Highlands University. He worked with the American Uranium Corp. from 1954 to 1958. From 1965 to 1970, he worked at American Uranium Corp. and Colorado Mines and Metal. From 1970 until his death, he was a consulting geologist for M.P. Grace, Exxon Corp., and companies managed by Albert W. Applegath. He was a member of American Legion Post #49. He attended Hoffmantown Baptist Church. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Thursday, August 15, 2002, 4:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Larry D. Stroup officiating.
