Rudy Gonzales, age 73, and a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died August 18, 2002. Survivors include his special companion, Kathy Roybal; sisters, Ella G. Silva, Esther G. Martinez, Cecelia G. Lloyd all of New Mexico; also several nieces and nephews. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, Alejandro and Teofila Gonzales. He was a member of Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2002 with a Rosary to follow in the Chapel of Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church 2621 Vermont NE at Claremont. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Benjamin Charles Roybal, Jeff Roybal, Eric Baca, Jim Ballog, Frank Marcilla and Jeff Richards. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Scoggin, Arthur Gradi, Ron Toya, Al Ortiz and Bert Breck. Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors is handling his arrangements.
