Zelma M. Masingale,"Martina", 75, beloved mother and grandmother, was received in the arms of the Lord, Wednesday, August 21, 2002. She is survived by sons, Jacob A. Tapia and wife, Margie of Lake Havasu, AZ, Joseph N. Tapia and wife, Dianna of Clinton, UT, Allen E. Tapia and wife, Ruth of El Sobrante, CA, James M. Tapia of Albuquerque, Marvin S. Masingale and wife, Gloria of Galt, CA, and Ed L. Masingale, Jr. of San Mateo, CA; daughters, Catherine E. Taylor and husband, Rick of Newport, FL, Carmenlita S. Branco and husband, AL of Fairfield, CA, and Bernadette M. Tapia of Brentwood, CA; 21 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Masingale was giving and loving to not only her family, but all those who knew of her. She had a big heart but was"tough as nails" when she had to be. She will be missed and loved by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and family services are planned for a later date in California.
