Obituary for Conboy

Herbert Edgar Conboy Sr. born August 17, 1930 died August 20, 2002. Son of Virgil Conboy and Charlotte Adaline Bailey Conboy. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Virgil Leroy and Donald Vincent Conboy. Edgar is survived by one sister, Evalyn Clancy of Dawson, NE; and three children, Fay Failing and husband, Larry of Albuquerque, Jean Claypool and husband, George of Palisade, CO, Herbert"Butch" Conboy Jr. and wife, Victoria of Pueblo, CO.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Edgar was a graduate from the University of NE School of Agriculture, Curtis, Nebraska. He moved to Gunnison, CO shortly after graduation where he worked for many years as a ranch hand and then Homestake Mining before moving to Albuquerque. He worked as a laborer under Labor Union Local #16 until retirement. Edgar was a good father and grandfather. He loved his great-grandchildren and enjoyed them greatly. Mr. Conboy had many friends and enjoyed all the crew at Murphy's Mule Barn where he often ate and drank coffee just to visit. Edgar will be cremated and services will be in Palisade, NE. He will be buried with his parents and brothers in the family plot.
