Elbert Lee Tharp, 61, a resident of Flora Vista, NM, passed away in the early morning of Wednesday, September 4, 2002. He was preceded in death by his father, W.D. Tharp in March 2002. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Nannette Ray of Albuquerque; son and daughter-in-law, William and Valerie Ray of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter and son-in-law, Dawn Denise and Rick Popham of Taylor, TX; grandchildren, Joseph and Robert Ray of Colorado Springs, CO and Katy, Daniel and Dillion Tharp of Taylor, TX; mother, Oletha Tharp of Gatesville, TX; and brother and sister-in-law, Don and Patty Tharp of Saudi Arabia. Services will be held Saturday, September 7, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Pastor Lemuel M. Boyles officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Saturday, September 7, 2002, from 8:30 a.m. until time of service.
