Sarah Lydia Garcia Avolio, was born in Albuquerque on October 12, 1927 and was called to her Heavenly Father September 12, 2002, where she was reunited with her son, Mark. She is survived by her husband, Lou; daughter, Jennie; sister, Margaret Gonzalez; and loving friend, David Hancock. The family wishes to thank special caregiver, Vicki Gonzales for her time, love and compassion. Sarah, a dedicated Christian woman, always put others before herself. She had a sincere love of giving and never asked for anything in return. Sarah was a true angel on earth and is loved and missed by all of those she touched. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, September 16, 2002, 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home. Funeral services are Tuesday, September 17, 2002, 10:30 a.m. at Faith Chapel, 1726 Girard Blvd. NE with Pastor Tom Salmon and Rev. Mable Dawe, officiating.
