Donald S. (Donny) Stapleton, 38, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque since 1964, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his loving family on Monday, September 16, 2002. Donny is survived by his brothers, Jon, Joe, Daniel Stapleton and Leon Visnaw; sisters, Pansy, Penny, and Bridget; nieces, Shaunteill and Jessica; nephews, Raeshaun, Michael, Joseph and Branden; great nieces, Justina, Breanah and Dominique; great-nephew, Anthony. Donny was preceded in death by his parents, John M. and Roberta E. Stapleton; a brother, Michael M. Stapleton and his grandmother, Roberta H. Rudd. Donny was well known in the community and had many friends. He will be greatly missed by all. Donny was a member of the Catholic Church. A visitation will be Friday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A final visitation will be Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Church of the Ascension with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Edmund Savilla. Interment will follow at the Pajarito Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jon, Joe, Daniel, Raeshaun Stapleton, Fidel Garcia, and Fernando Lopez. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW in charge of the arrangements.
