Col. Henry C. Reed (U.S.A.F. Ret.), 84, died Monday, September 16, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Reed of the family home; son, Kent Reed and wife, Elizabeth of Gaithersburg, MD; daughter, Christie Jansen V. Havighorst of Murnau, Germany; grandchildren, Jeffrey and wife Julie, Brian and wife Erin, Sigrid, Carl and Anna; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Keegan and Carter; and sisters, Susan McDonald of Ft. Worth, TX and Jane Forry of Goldendale, WA. Henry served in WWII, and he continued his career in the Air Force in Research and Development for 28 years. He then worked for Bernalillo County for 20 years. A memorial service will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust NE, with Dr. Paul R. Debenport and Rev. Carl Soderberg officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust NE, 87102.
