Isabelle Heard Waters, affectionately known as Izzy, was born June 7, 1933 and was called home to our Lord October 11, 2002. She was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque and a beloved sister, mother and grandmother. Isabelle retired from the Albuquerque Public School System in 1993, as an administrative assistant, having worked for many years at Rio Grande High School. In 1992 she was recognized as outstanding APS employee. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, she served in the Ladies Aid and was a former Sunday School Superintendent. Isabelle was preceded in death by her husband Clyde N. Waters and sister Jeannette H. Cheek. She is survived by her four children David C. Waters and wife Lorraine, Jeannette Waters, Claudia Goodreau and husband Kevin, and Karl T. Waters all of Albuquerque; 4 grandchildren, Nicole Goodreau, Joshua Waters, Jason Waters, and Natalie Goodreau all of Albuquerque; brothers Steve Heard and Robert Heard of California. A visitation and funeral service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 300 Gold Ave. SE. on Tuesday, October 15, 2002. The viewing will begin at 10:00am followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Randy Walquist officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
