David Flores Valdez, 93, went home to be with the Lord on October 18, 2002. He was born on February 23, 1909. He is preceded in death by his wife, Anita Martinez Valdez. Mr. Valdez is survived by daughter, Jessie Bernice Vigil and husband, Leo; sons, Rubert Valdez and wife, Beatrice, Euvaldo Valdez and wife, Helen, Lawrence Valdez and wife, Lori, Juan N. Valdez and wife, Marcia, David Orlando Valdez; one sister, Toni Billey; 12 grandchildren, and 22 great- grandchildren. Mr. Valdez will be deeply missed by his loving family. A Rosary will be recited on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Anne Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Anne Catholic Church. Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary. Pallbearers will be Mark Valdez, Robert Valdez, Leonard Vigil, Paul Valdez, David Valdez, and Thomas Valdez. Services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. S.W. 243-5222.
