Talamante- In Loving Memory of Mercedes Talamante-Muller October 27, 2001 A year has passed since my heart was pulled out of my chest. You left me so suddenly. I think of you everyday. It's hard to believe you will never come back to me. If I knew you would leave, never to come back, I would not let you go. If I knew I would never see your face, I would take one last picture of us. If I knew I would never hear you say,"Auntie", I would record you calling me,"Auntie." If I knew I would never be able to say,"I love you, mijita", I would tell you over and over,"I love you, mijita." If I knew we would never go anywhere together again, I would take you anywhere you wanted to go.
