Obituary for Lucero

Perfilio"Porfie" B. Lucero, 52, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 20, 2002. He graduated from Highland High School and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army."Porfie" attended UNM majoring in Civil Engineering. He was a professional Registered Land Surveyor in New Mexico and worked for 30 years in the construction industry. He is survived by his former wife, Susan; their children, David Gabriel Lucero and Kristin Michelle Lucero, both of Albuquerque; parents, Joe and Erlinda Lucero; brothers, Mike Lucero, Philip Lucero and wife, Eileen and Pat Lucero; sisters, Joanna Vigil and Linda Caskey and husband, Bill; and numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and 38 first cousins. Rosary will be recited Monday, October 28, 2002, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, October 29, 2002, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, corner of Lomas and Tennessee NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be David Lucero, Mike Lucero, Philip Lucero and Pat Lucero. In lieu of flowers and to help with funeral expenses, family and friends may wish to make a donation directly to French Mortuary. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
