Obituary for Casados

Amelia Maria Casados, 76, a resident of Los Lunas, NM passed peacefully in her home on Sunday, October 27, 2002. Born in Pastura, NM, she was daughter of the late Fred E. and Paublita Austin. She was a resident of Gallegos, NM for 53 years. She was a partner and loving wife of Robert S. Casados for 58 years. Amelia and her husband retired from ranching and moved to Los Lunas in 1998 to join their family. She was a member of the San Clemente Parish and loved her many hobbies of baking, painting, sewing, needlework, ceramics, gardening, but most of all, visiting with her grandkids and teaching and playing with her great-grandchildren. She was a devoted mother to Robert S. Casados and wife, Carmen of Denver, Co., Lorinda B. Arguello and husband, John A. of Los Lunas, and Eugene J. Casados and wife, Shirley of Albuquerque. She was grandmother of Robert Bahr, Dannette Gabaldon, Debra Hammer, Donya Casados, Lisa Chavez, Kim Tapia, Catherine Casados, Demetria Gallegos, Amanda and Nicole Casados and great, grandmother of 12. She was also Godmother of 17. Amelia is survived by her sister Toni Madrid and brother Fred Austin both of Albuquerque. She is preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
