Elma Irene Peters, age 91, died Tuesday October 29, 2002. She joins her husband of 56 years, Harry W. Peters. Elma is survived by her sons, Harry A. Peters and wife, Shirley, Roland L. Peters and wife, Jean; daughters, Jean C. Clise and husband, George, Donna R. Bridges and husband, John, Judith E. Wheet and husband, Gene, Joyce A. Walker and husband Dennis; 54 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; brother, Alfred Hazelbaker; and sister, Lillian Wilkes. Elma was a member of the First Baptist Church in Belen. Elma graduated from Teachers College in Pennsylvania to be an Elementary Education Teacher. However, Elma worked in the family business with her husband, Harry. Cremation has taken place. Interment of remains will be held privately at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
