Obituary for Butler

Margery Lou Butler, 90, a resident of Albuquerque for more than 60 years, peacefully passed away Thursday, October 31, 2002 in her home. She was preceded in death by a baby girl, Billie Jean; her husband, Edward N. Butler; her son, James Edward Butler; three brothers, Frank, Jukes and Walter; and two sisters, Ruth and Harriet. Mrs. Butler is survived by her son, Frank Forrest Butler and wife, Betty Rae of Albuquerque; daughter-in-law, Mary Dora Butler of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Malinda and Peter Ortega, Shane and Ruth Butler, Quinn and Alex Fekete, Edward Butler, Stace and Kirk Dalton, Lance and Julie Butler, Darce and Rob Gross, Travs and Elizabeth Butler, Kryss and Robert Duran, Paul Butler, Joel Butler, D'lany Butler, and Jessy Butler; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ben Archer of Hatch and Louie Archer of La Mesa, NM; sister, Helen Jones of El Paso, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Margery was a 1937 alum of New Mexico State University, retired APS teacher, member of First Baptist Church of Albuquerque, longtime Bible teacher, award winning mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.¯Services will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Pastor Clyde Cain officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE.¯ Pallbearers will be Travs Butler, Lance Butler, Shane Butler, Edward Butler, Joel Butler and Peter Ortega.¯ Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Jones, David Jones and Doug Driggers.
