Butch Russell, 56, a resident of Belen, peacefully joined our Lord on Wednesday, November 6, 2002. Butch was a long time employer of Transwestern Pipeline, but his heart and focus were always on his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Athalie Russell of Deming, NM. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Betty; his two sons, Warren and his wife, Jennifer of Las Cruces; and Aaron and his wife, Natalie of McKinney, TX; one granddaughter, Sutton; two sisters, Martie Smith and her husband, Jim of Rio Rancho, NM; and Loujean Getman and her husband, Raymond of Belen. He is also survived by his loving niece and nephews. A viewing will be held on Friday, November 8, 2002 from 2:30pm-5:00pm at Romero Funeral Home and a funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2002 at 10:00am at the First Baptist Church of Belen.
