Obituary for Clark

Emma E. Clark 1925-2002 Emma Elizabeth Clark, 77 passed away at the Heritage Health Care Center on Monday, November 4, 2002. She was born in Scammon Kansas on June 2, 1925, the daughter of Robert E. Clark and Myrtle"Billy" Bushnell Clark. As a young girl, she moved with her family to New Mexico. Emma married John Jacob Dinkel, the couple later divorced. She worked for an extended care facility in Southern California for many years as a dietary aide. She was pursuing her education to become a dietician when her daughter-in-law was killed. She quit school and returned to New Mexico to raise her grandsons, then 18 months and 6 months old. Emma was an avid reader. She also painted with oils. Surviving are her sons John Dinkel, Clinton Dinkel, and Brion Dinkel all of Chanute; three great grandchildren; sister Juanita Hill of Tucumcari, New Mexico; and brother Samuel Guy Perkins of Raton, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2002 at 3:00 p.m. at the Johnson Mortuary with Reverend Faron Morales officiating.
