Obituary for Bloch

Merritt P. Bloch, 89, died Thursday, October 10, 2002 in Las Vegas, NV. He is survived by his daughter, Evelyn Zlotkin; son, Rob Bloch; grandchildren, Stacy and Ian and his wife, Kelley; great-grandchildren, Jonnathon, Cheyenne, Kaylee and Emily; and many friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence; daughter, Joanne; and sister, Judy. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, was an auxiliary police sergeant with the NYC Auxiliary Police. He was a charter member of the Screen Actors Guild, a volunteer with the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis ( now the March of Dimes), and other various organizations. He owned Merit Audio-Visual Co. and supplied equipment to New Mexico's hotels, convention center, Pope Joy Hall and many others during the mid 70's through the early 90's. Cremation and interment have taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2002 at 3:30 p.m. at Congregation Albert, 3800 Louisiana Blvd. NE, with Rabbi Joseph Black officiating. Memorial Contributions made to the Rabbi's Discretionary Fund at Congregation Albert.
