Obituary for Trujillo

Daniel N. Trujillo, 89, a longtime Brush, CO area resident, died Saturday, November 16, 2002, at the Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan, CO. He was born October 3, 1913, in Ranchos de Taos, NM, to Celso and Josefina Trujillo. He married Andrea Montoya on May 7, 1938, in Las Vegas, NM. The Trujillo family moved to Brush, CO in 1942. Prior to retirement, Dan was a long haul trucking transportation driver. An avid gardener, Dan's vegetable garden was the envy of the neighborhood. Dan was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and AARP Survivors include his wife, Andrea of Brush, CO; his children, Placido and his wife, Juanita Romero of Brush, CO, Steve and his wife, Marie Romero of Colorado Springs, Rose Salinas of Fort Lupton, Helen and her husband, Larry Romero of Denver, CO, Ray and his wife, Cheryl Trujillo of Lakewood, CO, Mary Lou and her husband, Tom Trujillo-Flores of Brush, NM, Anthony and his wife, Rosi Trujillo of Brush, CO and Daniel and his wife, Beatrice Trujillo of Papillion, NE; 30 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren; one daughter, Donna; one sister; and his parents preceded him in death. Rosary Services will be Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 340 Stanford Street in Brush, CO. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church. Interment will follow at the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be a the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
