Obituary for Cowan

Jeanne Cowan. On November 20, 2002, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Jeanne Cowan, began her second life in the presence of her loving family. Jeanne is survived by her husband of 57 years, Maynard Cowan Jr.; children, Maynard"Skip" Cowan III and wife, Michelle, Kris Martinez and husband, Andy, ¯Kimberlyn McGreal and husband, Tom; grandchildren, Maynard Cowan IV, Jennifer Stensgaard and husband,¯ Jason, John Travis Cowan, Connor McGreal and Fionn McGreal. Jeanne was born on November 4, 1925 in North Kansas City, Missouri. Jeanne led a fruitful life, belonging to and leading many charitable and community organizations, such as, the Albuquerque Women's Symphony Organization, where she was a past President. Aside from her involvement in the arts and philanthropy, Jeanne spent the majority of her time and energy enjoying and loving her family. Her love and guidance will always be remembered and cherished by all whose lives were graced by her presence. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2002 at St. Marks on the Mesa Episcopal Church in Albuquerque, with an open celebration of her life to follow at the Cowan family household. Memorial donations may be made in the name of Virginia Jeanne Cowan to the Unity Church, at Unity School of Christianity, 1901 NW Blue Parkway, Unity Village, MO 64065.
