Obituary for Bennett

Robert E. Bennett, a resident of Placitas since 1969, passed away on November 19, 2002. Robert was born on November 21, 1918 in Chicago, IL. He was very fond of working with children and was a Cub Scout Leader for many years. Robert loved camping and fishing and enjoyed the outdoors. Prior to retirement, he worked for the public schools. He was an inspiration to many people. Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ellen. He is survived by his sister, Bernice Rowley of Chicago, IL; nephew, Norman Rowley; niece, Kathie Rowley; cousins, Ray Bennett and Dodie Ekerson; his treasured friends, Kathy and Jackie Unale and their children, Briana and Jerome, Arsenio and Valentina Duran, Jonathan Perez, and a host of very special friends who loved him and will dearly miss him. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, November 22, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at the San Antonio Mission Church in Placitas. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 23, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Mission Church with Father Virgil Fufaro as Celebrant. Interment will follow at the San Antonio Cemetery in Placitas. Pallbearers will be Jackie Unale, Lou Stevens, Jerome Unale, Jonathan Perez, Chris Gonzales, Jr., and Ray Arriola. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the San Antonio Mission Church, P. O. Box 507, Placitas, NM 87043. Services are under the care of: Sunrise Funeral Options (505) 891-9192
