Charles Emery Rumbaugh July 13, 1907-November 26, 2002 Mr. Charles Rumbaugh, 95, of Southwest City, MO died Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at 4:30 a.m. at McDonald County Health Care in Anderson, Missouri after an illness.Mr. Charles Rumbaugh was born July, 13, 1907 in Monnett, Missouri to the late Charles Augustus and Sarah Evaline (Mayfield) Rumbaugh. He and his family moved, by covered wagon, from the farm in Monett, in or about 1908 and settled in Curry County, Melrose, New Mexico. Living there as farmers, he fathered eight children, which he and his wife of 61+ years raised.He is survived by his wife Ruthann Rumbaugh at their home in Southwest City, MO; five children, Nona Kirby and family of Springer, New Mexico, Jean Hall and family of Mesa, Arizona, Bobbie Jo Kitter and family of Mesa, Arizona, Lavada Bartley and family of Eagle Rock Missouri, and Mary E. Neppl and family of Lee Summit, Missouri; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters.He was preceded in death by his parents and three children, Billy Don Rumbaugh of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Charlynee Goodrum of Albuquerque, New Mexico and George Rumbaugh of Tempe, Arizona.Cremation will be done by Bella Vista Crematory. A memorial service will be held at the family residence on Saturday, December 7, 2002 from 10:00 a.m.. until 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Funeral Home in Southwest City, Missouri.Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Southwest Missouri Chapter, Glen Isle Center, 1500 S. Glenstone, Springfield, Missouri 65804.
