Helen Gonzales was called home to our Lord on November 28, 2002 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Socorro, NM on September 13, 1943. She attended Mount Carmel Elementary School, Socorro High School and New Mexico State University. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Ernest E. Gonzales of Roswell, NM; her son, Ernest P. Gonzales and wife, Diane of Tijeras, NM; daughter, Arlene Gonzales and husband, Bobby; and grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Robert and Elena of Albuquerque; mother, Jesusita Savedra and Rita and Martin Gallegos who raised her. Rosary will be held at the Lemitar Catholic Church in Lemitar, NM on Sunday, December 1, 2002 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 2, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Father John Daniel as Celebrant. Burial will be in the Lemitar Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ernest E. Gonzales, Ernest P. Gonzales, Bobby Gonzales, Alonso Gonzales, Mark Gonzales and Paul Gallegos.
